20-5-19 ice cream in a bag

  ice cream in a bag
My hypothesis is I think if we put the exact instruction it might or may not work because it might turn to liquid or ice cream we were wondering if it would turn to ice cream.  We were doing this experiment because We want to know if we can make ice cream or liquid. Are materials were 3x plastic bags, salt, milk, ice, sugar, vanilla essence.

First We got into groups of six i was with Elizabeth, Manaia, Haley, Jasmine, McKenzie and myself :D

  1. Elizabeth got up and went to get a snap lock bag and fill it with vanilla essence and milk.
  2. Then manaia went and got a big snap lock bag and went to get two cups of ice to put into the snap lock bag with a sprinkle of salt.
  3. We went outside and put the bag of vanilla essence, milk, and sugar and the bag of ice and salt.
  4. We put the bag of vanilla and milk into another bag that was empty and then put it into the bag of ice and sealed all the bags up
  5. We shook the bag rapidly. But first we made sure we closed the bag tightly so it wouldn’t spill out.
  6. Once it was sealed tightly we had to rattled the bag around the circle it was a big mess in the bag.

our groups ice-cream turned to liquid it was Mmmmmmm…………….delightful.

some of the teams turned into ice cream and the others turned into liquid it was delicious.

in conclusion we got to eat it t was Mmmmmmm…………….delightful .

lines of symmetry 13-5-19

Today room 10 & 11 have been doing lines of symmetry. The lines of symmetry are when you fold an object or a shape and split it into a side that is equal. My shapes are a pentagon, arrow, 4 pointed star, a heart, and a octagon.

This term room 10 & 11 have been doing geometry 3D shapes. we have been learning about Quadrilaterals, polygon , 3D and 2D! Nets are when you get a 3D shape and unfold along the edges to create a flat shape.  My shapes names: cube and a triangular pyramid!
